Inspired by the design psychology classic, Don Norman’s The Design of Everyday Things, Actionaut Robert Rouse introduces Action’s founder, Keith Helfrich, and The Sensemaker’s audience to a new series exploring Everyday Design Practices in Tableau.

In this first episode, Robert explores the design concept of Affordance (the part of an object’s design that suggests how it should be used). In designing dashboards, there are small design elements to consider that can greatly affect their usability and accessibility. These design elements are worth our time to think about and understand more deeply.
