On this first episode of Season 2 of Action Analytics’ The Sensemaker’s Video Podcast, Actionauts Keith Helfrich, Robert Rouse, and Jonathan Drummey discuss the recent Tableau Conference 2023, the big announcements made there, and what some of the implications are for Tableau and the data analytics industry in general.

Jonathan was not at the event, so he leads the questioning. The discussion ranges from the execution of the conference itself, to the announcements of potentially game-changing new features (e.g. Tableau GPT, Tableau Pulse, and headless BI), to a deeper strategic examination of the direction of Tableau and the overall future of the data analytics industry.

The group also talks about Robert’s cool hack of the TC23 nametags. When Robert got his tag, he was shocked to see how tiny the text was for attendee name and company. So, he quickly acquired a label maker and launched the Big Awesome Nametag (#BAN) project.

And Keith shows off some of the coolest swag at the conference, the amazing Actionauts bomber jacket! Keith reports that it attracted a lot of attention and enthusiasm.
