Analytics Enablement Strategist

Action is looking for an experienced Analytics Strategist to support a high-visibility enterprise AI and analytics program. You’ll help shape how analytics is used, governed, and scaled across the organization, bringing structure to evolving data, business priorities, and stakeholder needs. Working across business, technical, and executive teams, you’ll help define shared metrics, strengthen BI practices, support self-service analytics, and build a stronger analytics community. The goal is to turn enterprise strategy into practical approaches that help teams use data more consistently and make better decisions.

Responsibilities

Enterprise Analytics Strategy & Enablement

  • Help shape and advance enterprise BI and analytics practices across teams
  • Translate business priorities into clear analytics strategies, standards, and operating approaches
  • Define shared metrics, reporting principles, and reusable frameworks that improve consistency and trust
  • Identify opportunities to strengthen analytics adoption, self-service, and organizational data maturity
  • Connect individual analytics efforts to broader enterprise goals and capabilities

Analytics Community & Adoption

  • Build strong relationships across business, technical, and analytics teams
  • Support and strengthen a community of analysts, BI practitioners, and data consumers
  • Develop practical guidance, patterns, and resources that help teams use analytics more effectively
  • Promote consistent approaches to reporting, visualization, metrics, and decision support
  • Identify adoption barriers and help teams move toward more scalable and sustainable analytics practices

Stakeholder Partnership & Advisory

  • Partner directly with business, technical, and executive stakeholders
  • Turn ambiguous business questions into clear analytical priorities and actionable plans
  • Facilitate alignment across teams with different goals, levels of data maturity, and technical needs
  • Communicate recommendations, tradeoffs, and progress clearly and proactively
  • Build trust as a strategic thought partner who can connect business needs with analytics capabilities

Analytics Delivery & Decision Support

  • Lead analytics work from problem definition through implementation and adoption
  • Analyze and validate complex data to support high-value business questions
  • Translate complex information into clear, decision-ready insights and visual experiences
  • Evolve metrics and analytical approaches as business needs and products change
  • Support and improve existing Tableau and BI solutions when needed, with an emphasis on scalability, usability, and long-term value

Must Have

  • Enterprise BI and Analytics Strategy: Experience shaping analytics practices, standards, and solutions that can scale across teams and support broader business goals
  • Analytics Enablement and Adoption: Ability to help teams adopt better BI practices, improve self-service, and build confidence in shared metrics, tools, and reporting approaches
  • Data Fluency and SQL: Strong ability to explore, validate, transform, and interpret complex datasets and understand the structures behind them
  • Executive Communication and Visualization: Proven ability to turn complex information into clear, decision-ready insights for senior stakeholders
  • Stakeholder Facilitation and Consulting Ownership: Able to structure ambiguity, align stakeholders, manage competing priorities, and independently move work from problem definition through adoption
  • BI Platform Experience: Strong working knowledge of Tableau or similar BI platforms, including visualization, troubleshooting, and solution improvement

Analytics Strategist Compensation Structure

  • Employment Type: Full-time, compensated as a W2 hourly employee
  • W2 Hourly Rate: $90/hour
  • Benefits: UnitedHealthcare (medical), Guardian (vision and dental)
  • Profit Sharing: Aligned to performance-based revenue outcomes, paid annually
  • Long-Term Upside: Participation in company growth as the business scales
